The article elaborates cultural-philosophical theme: how the concept of man changed in the spaces of different historical-cultural epochs. The author uses an approach based on the description of the main anthropological concepts (man, individuality, et cetera).
The following problems are regarded in the article: traditional, classical art, art for art, art gestell, art-entertainment, modernity, art works interpretation, functions of art, worldview, psycho-adaptation, innovations.
In the art criticism one can find different interpretations of the roles of the historical art movement of such factors as culture mentality, worldview, art tradition. The author penetrates in the laboratory of the art process, brings to light the origin sources of the art thinking stable types. Regarding art as the culture phenomenon helps to explain such difficult problems as origin sources of the art thinking stable types in different forms of art, common composition patterns in the art works of the societies never interacting. In the special features of forms, image formation, style features the author finds not only inner art characteristics, but also intercultural signs.
The author investigates the notion of «cultural code». He believes, that too strict cultural code is as dangerous as too flexible one. The development of alternative thinking ability is favorable for social life if it's balanced by tradition.

It presupposes the interperation of a language sign's literal of tropiec meaning through the categories of culture, such as symbols, stereotypes, standards, mythologemes, and other manifestations of national and human culture
The article is focused on the term «deconstruction», introduced to the science vocabulary by M. Heidegger and J.Lacan. The conception by J.Derrida, who made the theoretical basis of this term is also analyzed. Deconstruction is interpreted by him not only as a form of text analysis, but as well as the strategy of the opposition to the text metaphysics and its referential illusions.

The paper outlines the possibility to study L.N. Tolstoy's philosophy of history in a perspective of organic or interpretive criticism (N.N. Strakhov, A.A. Grigor'ev). Particular attention is paid to research the critical heritage of Grigor'ev, firstly represented the problem of Tolstoy's historicity - compliance of his cognitive and artistic pursuit with those historical sentiments, widespread 'after Poushkin' in Russian literature.
The subject of discussion in the article is the analysis of the influence of globalization and virtual technologies of information transmission on the character of mass culture. The author shows that penetration of elements of postmodernism artistic practice sharply lowered the "average level" of mass culture existing in industrial societies; virtual technologies as the industry of "images" increase the situation, because a virtual image is a realized postmodernist metaphore of "evaporating meanings" connected with the vertical line of transcendent values of the Good, Truth, Beauty. Correspondingly, mass culture loses the role of the marker of man's cultural level, confusing him in the cultural area, cultivates disrespect to classical Locos of culture, elevating to the "pedestal" game identity instead of socio-cultural one.

Foucault, who worked out the concept of European science and culture, based on the «archeology of knowledge», which centre idea is «knowledge-language».
