In this small study is made an attempt to consider the Romance Antonida in connection with the traditional rite of the wedding. The author came to the conclusion that the first evidence of the existence in the Russian wedding lamentations of the bride, accompanied by the lamentations of bridesmaids, contained in this fragment of the Opera M.I. Glinka. Only after a hundred years more, this phenomenon has got into the field of view of the musical Ethnography.

We offer a cycle of articles devoted to musical theory and to organ practice of French Baroque. The fi article reveals the fact of substantiation in France of foundamental acoustic fenomenon - «the Resonance Effect».The Resonance fenomenon - or the overtone occurence - is demonstrated in 1618 by René Descartes, great French philosopher and scientist, but also the author of «Compendium on Music». This article concentrates its attention on analysis of Descartes’ propositions, who establish French proportion doctrine and classical intervals and chords theory.
