The paper studies the phenomenon of hidden meaning, the subtext that exists in any artificial, and accordingly, in any musical text. The second plan, in whole, multiplies the general meaning and works in the sam e direction. Penetration into the meaning of music is carried out through the intonational «program» that binds all the processes. Intonation thinking of the epoch defines the evocation of its philosophical and aesthetic ideas. Intonational process is responsible for everything that happens in the musical text, including for the forma tion of the second plan.
