The result is the substantiation of a midline position of author’s songs in the structure of artistic culture between professional creativity and folklore, and of belonging of those songs to modern syncretic art.

Undertakes an analysis of the reception of the British philosophy of XVIII—XIX centuries by Russian intellectuals. It identifies the reasons of the Russian philosophical thought of the XIX—the first half of XX century being mainly under the influence of German speculative metaphysics. As a result there were rather uneasy and complex, at times dramatic, relations between the Russian supporters of traditional German metaphysics and the British empiricism.
