The article makes analysis of the contracts of the Republic of Belarus concerning legal aid on civil and family cases, some aspects of the institute of legal aid such as grounds for recognition and execution of foreign courts decisions and possible grounds for refusal are described. Much attention is paid to such grounds as exceptional court jurisdiction of the requested state.

The author is making an attempt to analyze the problems of succession in law, state and law adoption of single institutions, law integration (inasmuch as globalization and unification concern many events of public social life). At the same time history and practice of different countries show that mechanical imitation, transference on extemporaneous social ground of single law institutes from different law systems can cause undesirable social consequences and even blocking of legal development of a particular state, misperception by the society and its institutions of this «alien elements» and as a result - absence of progress in the development of law system of the state on the whole.
