The article investigates further ways of improving intelligibility of the existing legislation in the context of Belarus as a “country for people”. Based on the analysis of the principles that guide legislative activities the article concludes that these principles constitute theoretical and methodological foundation for the intelligibility of the legislation. Suggestions about the inclusion of certain principles related to the notions of adaptability, systematic organization, democratic approach and fluency into the legislative activity are made. Besides, the author stresses the nesesety of introducing these principles in the legislative Act of the Republic of Belarus dated January 10 2000 “On Legislative Acts of the Republic of Belarus”. Finally, the article emphasizes the fact that realisation of these principles in the legislative activities will provide intelligibility of the legislative regulation in various spheres of social relations.
