A Live Company: Coping with Challenges of the Times

This article discusses modern concepts of and approaches to researching the phenomenon of a live company. The conclusion is drawn that for a live company to develop three key aspects have to be implemented: genuine customer centricity; social environment supporting human potential fulfilment; and self-management as a way to produce free space for decision-making and responsibility of those engaged in processes of goods and services creation.

Companies Organizational Development Trends in the Transition to Digital Economy

The paper discusses distinctive features of digital economy, key management factors under these conditions, main features of digital company, and transformation trends in the organizational structure during transition to digital economy. It is shown that new technologies and platforms allow the management of organizations and entrepreneurs to incrementally reduce transactional costs of interaction and to establish closer contacts with consumers and state institutions.

Dynamics and modern features of management of social investments in the metallurgical industry

Evaluating Training Effectiveness in Corporate University

The article analyzes main approaches to evaluate training effectiveness used by corporate universities. The relevance of evaluating the effectiveness of conducted training is demonstrated by identifying key trends in corporate education development. The experience of corporate universities in evaluating training effectiveness is considered. The author demonstrates indicators applied to control the training process in corporate university, quality and effectiveness control methods that can be of use for these purposes.

Industry 4.0 and Global Value Chains

This paper researches the evolution of additive manufacturing - 3D printing, and its impact on existing global value chains in production, their geographical span and density. The application potential and impact of new digital technologies (known as Industry 4.0) are investigated and compared with existing technologies, the leverage of new technologies over the change in global value chains configuration (suppliers, companies and customers included) is considered.

Main Provisions of an Effective Enterprise Owner Paradigm

The article shows that socioeconomic performance of an enterprise results from the institutional and organizational environment established in it. The authors argue that enterprise management by its owner should be basically concentrated on setting key provisions and monitoring their control - these will ensure a necessary environment of the enterprise; as to its high and steadily growing socioeconomic results, they will obviously emerge. The quality of enterprise management depends on the quality of institutional and technological environment created and maintained in it.

Managing Implicit Knowledge in Innovative Organization: Economic Essence, Protection Methods

The authors’ research method is presented which includes the method of analyzing the market of explicit and implicit knowledge. The implicit to explicit knowledge ratio and the scope of knowledge in general per Russian innovative company are determined.

Modelling Demand on Branch Markets

Main approaches to modelling demand are addressed and analyzed, including economic-mathematical, statistical, qualitative expected methods of modelling demand. Special attention is paid to the method of modelling by structural equations, which, according to the author, helps describe the impact of factors on demand of goods on branch markets, build demand forecast models thus promoting competitiveness increase of goods.

The article analyzes problems linked with the increasing role of human capital in knowledge economy based on intellectual technologies and requiring new investment sources to expand human capital. Problems of Implementing a Funded Retirement Insurance Model in the Russian Federation

The article presents the main findings of research into the national practice of citizens’ pension rights formation within the framework of individually-funded retirement insurance program — as compared to pay-as-you-go model. Criteria are developed to assess the effectiveness of the funded component of the pension system, the character of the cumulative component of the mandatory retirement insurance system is described. Principal tasks are formulated, and measures are proposed to improve the functioning of the funded component in current and long-term Russian realities.

The International Experience in Designing and Applying Professional Standards

The article gives an overview of international practices in shaping national systems of professional qualifications. Forms of normative-legal regulation of professional standards are discussed with participation of sectoral employer associations. Specific experiences (of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Kazakhstan included) are reflected in the development, testing and implementation of these standards. The terms “professional qualification", "professional standards" are defined, differences in their formation methods and the degree of their sufficiency in different countries are also marked.
