The content of ‘innovative activity' notion is researched. Specific features of innovation market are defined in comparison with other markets. Main stages of the innovative process are considered. For each of them, recommendations for state management bodies are advanced, they are aimed at enhancing innovation activity and manufacturing industry development.
The article is dedicated to discover opportunities and conditions for implementing agile approach to ensure company success under modern conditions. The author notes that the agile approach is the most effective tool nowadays to undertake quick and qualitative organizational transformations and ensure the company’s response to challenges of the environment. Success in applying the agile approach depends on the type of management system, the development stage the organization is in, the leadership qualities of managers and the management style.
The article unveils contradictions existing between the need to shape bank employees' competitiveness and the ability of banks to change the occupational skill structure in accordance with changed competitive position. An attempt is made to justify the scientific bases of business career as a mechanism to shape banking personnel competitiveness. The author's ideas contributing to expand business career concepts help identify the priorities and tendencies in strategic potential formation of the labour market in the fast-growing banking sector.
The author investigates modern world trends in triple-format collaboration between universities, the state and enterprises which ensures highest effectiveness in cognitive human potential formation. Advantages of implementing joint projects for universities and commercial companies, as well as main difficulties encountered by the parties in the process of their joint activities are disclosed. The conclusion is drawn about the need to change the model of state support for innovations in favour of co-financing joint projects within the framework of long-term partnerships between universities and enterprises.

It is a tourism and investment attractive territory that is based on the image - in one way or another - connected with positioning the city of Novgorod as Europe-integrated city with its more than millennia-old history. Practical regional policy measures realized here are cited, they include those achieved with the author’s participation.
The article addresses the impact produced by digital economy on the process of developing new requirements for managerial work and for educational institutions engaged in training managers. Key trends in business environment emerging along with the development of digital economy are identified. Working principles of educational institutions under current conditions are formulated.
The article deals with contemporary employment problems in the informal sector of Russian economy. The dynamics and causes of growing citizens’ involvement in shadow employment, their social status are analyzed. Sectoral and regional features of population’s illegal employment are addressed. The volume of ‘grey’, hidden payroll in the informal sector of Russian economy is estimated.
The article analyzes the key role of knowledge as basic productive force of modern innovation economy. It identifies the essential heterogeneity of knowledge — be it scientific-and-technological (tangible) and living experimental (intangible) knowledge. The author shows that intangible knowledge is immaterial work based on the ability of people to communicate and cooperate; it is autopoiesis, self-improvement, which develops through free cooperation, common culture and general knowledge. The conclusion is drawn that the state should create an economic, social and legal modernization environment, in which self-organization of people intensifies in making use of common natural and cultural heritage.
Issues related to innovation management in Russia are addressed. The role of strategic partnership as a key form of concerted efforts undertaken by the state, science and business to accelerate innovative development is analyzed. The author proposes to modernize the system of public governance in the field of innovations, among other things he justifies the need to launch a state program for Russia’s innovative development and set up a governmental innovation center.
The author of the article justifies the need to strengthen the role of the state in shaping the national socially-oriented market economy development model, which is based on mixed economy and public-private partnership (PPP) mechanism. The main components of the national socially-oriented market economy model on the basis of mixed economy and PPP are systematized. The author focuses on socialization of production relations as one of central problems of the model.
It is shown that governmental strategic planning is the most effective model and tool to ensure a balanced and sustainable development of economically advanced and also developing countries. The author holds, however, that the synergetic effect of this model of management can be achieved only if mechanisms of its elaboration and practical implementation are built systematically.

Examples of women entrepreneurs' organizations in China and in Russia are presented. According to the authors, in Russia and in China organizations of women entrepreneurs are created to support, reinforce, business networking and effective activity motivation. The trend to establish corrective training is demonstrated by the example of Ernst & Young Academy of Business. Typical features of successful women entrepreneurs are identified.
