The article analyzes the causes of serious discrepancies in actuarial valuation results in relation to differences in the methodology of actuarial calculations and the statistical resources of Russia’s Pension Fund and Russian Federal State Statistics Service used for assessing information. Methodological proposals that enable to solve the problem fundamentally are formulated.
The author addresses methods of analyzing investment projects risks. She substantiates the expediency of applying simulation modelling, which allows to provide the potential investor with a full range of indicators for project risk measurement.

The article presents the outcomes of testing the approach to coherence analysis of various administrative-territorial level strategies. The results mirror the degree of coherence between ten pairs of municipal- and regional-level strategies. These results show that, in general, strategical documents of major cities are not in contradiction with regional strategies.
Basic elements of corporate entrepreneurship are addressed, and major factors indispensable for entrepreneurial behaviour development inside the corporation are defined. Main approaches to determine the essence of intra-firm entrepreneurship are investigated.

According to the authors, the right to information of actual shareholders and potential investors — in line with their corporate status — is a priority advantage. In article the main directions, priorities and prospects of modernization of metallurgical branch of Russia are considered. It is established that key elements of strategy of development of branch are: production of high level of repartitions and a value added, improvement of metallurgical technologies for release qualitative other materials, convergence of metallurgical and machine-building branches. Efficiency of branch has to be based on environmental friendliness of production and development of "green" technologies.

It is shown that the principal factor defining the banker’s reputation is his professionalism. The main communication channel to shape reputation is making one’s personal acquaintance with the banker. Mass media play an insignificant role in the process.

Problems related to attracting foreign investment to the Russian economy are unveiled. The investment cooperation under today’s conditions is researched. Mechanisms of activating the investment process at national and regional levels are proposed. Promising markets of capital placement for national investors are specified.
Proposals aiming at improving audit of government programs and implying the transition to a program method of state budget execution are presented. The author holds that rethinking the audit methodology will allow not only to monitor the target-oriented use of budgetary funds but also to control full implementation of program measures, to equal the performance and to achieve government programs indicators.

The ambiguity of definitions for family business is identified as well as the specifics of this phenomenon from the perspective of institutional theory.
