Analyses of the experimental learning results of teaching fiction translation among students of a linguistic university in the light of social-cultural approach

Modern workbooks on teaching fiction translation do not fully embrace the social-cultural component of educa- tional content, despite the state standard strict demand on seeing students mainly as an object of cultural dialog. According to this, a row of competence, possessing demands of preparing students that can use foreign language as an instrument of social-cultural communication, may be insufficient for forming skills in fiction translation. Due to this fact we have worked out and tested the model of forming skills in fiction translation using social-cultural approach among students of a linguistic university. The forming of translational social-cultural competence, which the totality of social and political, cultural and historical, demographic and everyday knowledge about the country of the language during the creation of identical translation version in accordance with cross-cultural equivalence level and the way of translation of social-cultural realias, is the result of education. The author has created two diagrams to demonstrate social-cultural changes on different levels of translational equivalence: one illustrates ways of translation of social-cultural realias typical for the proper level, the other shows how different groups of realias split on different levels of cross-cultural equivalence. Suggested model of education is based on teaching students fiction translation according to these diagrams; according to this model the process of education is real- ized according to the principle from simple to complicated, i.e. from formal equivalence level to descriptive. Taking into account the statistic analyses of experimental teaching results, it demonstrates the effectiveness of the proposed teaching model, we can conclude that using this model on teaching fiction translation process in linguistic university will help students to broaden their social-cultural database and embrace some skills in fic- tion translation.

Internet support as a tool for increasing the effectiveness of enterprise full-time corporate training

The article is devoted to increasing the effectiveness of full-time corporate training. In the conditions of informa- tional society the objective need of corporations in the modern staff training based on the principles of continuing education, faces with the need to overcome the several difficulties of the traditional face-to-face corporate train- ing. The need to improve the full-time corporate training, the effectiveness of which is one of the factors ensuring sustainable economic growth of the country makes an important and timely search of pedagogical tool, which allows, without increasing the frequency and duration of face-to-face classes, to ensure continuity of the learn- ing process, to increase the relevance and improve the quality of learning in terms of psychologically comfortable learning environment. The article substantiates the choice of the online support tool for improving professional training of specialists in the system of corporate training. Internet support is naturally integrated into the existing system of full-time training as well as improves and develops it. The opportunities provided by the Internet support of the learning process in full-time corporate training can be used in order to improve the efficiency of formation of information-theoretical and experimental component of professional competence of experts. The modular ap- proach allows using the same modules as elements of several training programs, developing similar competence. The results are the formation of the environment and the process of active teaching and learning on the basis of constantly updated resources, the natural motivation of students to active learning, the increasing level of assimi- lation of educational material. The article shows that the inclusion of Internet support in the process of full-time corporate training contributes to the psychological comfort of learning and satisfaction with the results, a positive effect on the level of professional competence of students.

The full and comprehensive inclusion of sustainable tourism in Russian tourism studies and thematic plans of disciplines at the present time are particularly important nowadays. Mentoring system as a principle of psychical health forming of the program of the tourism students and teenagers

The author's prophylactic program presented in the article is due to help up psychical health of teenagers and Tourism students both, its goal is to involve in such useful and recreational activity as tourism. Tourism is able to stimulate sensory channels of reality perception, therefore why it may serve as rewarding substitution of passive computer pastime. However, it is possible only under condition of defined algorithm of actions, which should been fulfilled through mentoring system of different levels realization. The author guided by the fact that teenagers trust the information, the source of which is the coevals or the persons who are not much older. «The school of young tourist» contains three vectors of prophylactic work with teenagers: interactive programs organized by Tourist stu- dents under skilled psychologist guidance, the programs providing useful teenagers occupation and the programs conducted by the seniors. The idea of «The school of young tourist» is dictated by the target auditory need in self - improvement, track finding, depression overcoming. Such emotion as suspense is intrinsic to the young people, it appears to be the reason of their depression. The author of the article states that proposed project has powerful potential of the career guidance, it allows to create the channels of communication between university, which has «Tourism» profile and school audience seeking the trace of the future professional realization. The project «The school of young tourist» possesses high practical importance because it fits to be actualized on the platform of the majority of the universities comprising the Universities for Tourism and Service Association.

Organizational and methodological development bases of national concept of Russian vocational tourism education drawing on international experience

This article outlines the main features of the study of organizational and methodological basis of the develop- ment of the national concept of vocational tourism education of Russia on international experience. The study was conducted from 2008 to the year 2016 and consisted of several stages. The first stage was characterized by the analysis of scientific literature on the problems of professional education in the field of tourism with the aim of defining paradigms of development, the specifics of the formation of the national industry model of education, the ratio of global and national interests in the simulation of the system of professional tourist education, methodology of pedagogical system study, conceptualization and modeling. During this period, was studied the world experi- ence of professional tourism education and identified 9 Western models of greatest interest in the context of the study: Australia, Austria, UK, Germany, Canada, Norway, Finland, France and Switzerland. The second stage was a program of experimental work and launched the preparatory phase of its implementation. Identified the characteristics of the actual public demand for specialists tourist profile; identified the dominant behavior patterns of graduates of tourism institutes; developed procedures and content of evaluation of professional competencies in tourism. The third stage was characterized by the generalization of theoretical and methodological approaches and of representations associated with the research and development of organizational-pedagogical conditions of implementation of the national system of professional tourism education. Was the experimental work with the aim of ascertaining the current status of personnel training for tourism in Russia, as well as testing a number of con- ceptual provisions of the theory of systemic organization of professional tourism education, concerning its structure (unity of subsystems: consumer, content, function and regulation), educational content and evaluation of its re- sults. During the fourth phase was analyzed organizational-pedagogical model of Western countries, summarized the results of their comparative analysis, which identified global trends and invariant constructs the international system of professional tourist education. At this stage, identified the essence and developed the conceptual basis of formation of national system of professional tourism education in the context of solving problems of modernization of the industry education and taking into account external trends and challenges. At the fifth stage was developed and piloted innovative courses, academic disciplines, and innovative training course of teachers training areas «Tourism» and «Hospitality»; the identified indicators of the level of satisfaction with the quality of the educational product consumers (employers of tourism and of graduates of educational institutions) on the effectiveness of tech- nology praxiological learning in educational institutions in the field of tourism. This article describes the relevance of the main problem, object, subject, topic, hypothesis, aim, objectives and main results of the study.

Student volunteering as a mechanism for social projecting

Article is devoted to a problem of social planning in the student’s environment, as a mechanism which acts as the volunteering. The article describes the implementation experiences of social and pedagogical university students of volunteer project aimed at increasing the level of professional competence of future bachelors of pedagogical education in the field of fine arts, on the one hand, and on the other at the inclusion of children from socially disadvantaged groups to contemporary art through the practice of the fine arts and decorative-applied creativ- ity. Corresponding to current educational standards of higher school, the practical preparation of future teachers cannot fully realize the students need for testing their professional skills. One of the possible ways of solving this problem was the creation of the design studio as a socially significant project by volunteer-students. Unlike sec- ondary schools, the work of the studio is not governed by the educational standards, a educational program and strict requirements for development. Consequently, this form allows taking into account the interests of children and the needs of students in obtaining practical experience with the students. The study reveals that the collabora- tive process of future teachers and students has a rather complex structure and includes the following components: cognitive, emotional-valuable, active, reflexive evaluation. Achievement of target indicators of the project and its successful implementation allows continuing the process of social planning in the field of art education, aimed at children with speech development violations’ acquaintance with the work of artists of their native land and create their own copies of the paintings, followed by applying them to the tissue. A.S. Makarenko emphasized that «we need to teach children the desire to achieve some goals, but don’t just teach them» that in the context of our project is implemented through the creation of textiles, panels, accessories in the classroom by children, developing their creativity and encouraging them in a conscious, purposeful and creative activity.

Teaching resources of art cinema in the context of teaching the Humanities in the contemporary universities

The article settles the task of the research and testing of new effective forms of development of humanitarian knowledge. Such cinema technologies are the film seminar, interactive lectures, video seminars, prepared discus- sion on the film, etc. Authors analyze humanitarian and moral sphere of man and society through analysis of cul- tural and moral determinants, reflected in the works of cinema. The relevance of the article is determined with the obvious crisis of the institutional forms which still develop the fundamental cultural and philosophical education, and which leads to the obsolescence of the translation forms of generalized knowledge. The authors believe that the intensification of the modernization process of the forms of humanitarian knowledge development will contribute to more efficient formation of common cultural and professional competences of future specialists. Outdated knowl- edge paradigm is supplanted by a system of methods of students’ creative abilities activation. In the broad context of culture visualization the perception of the thematic blocks of the various Humanities disciplines through active viewing and interpretation of movie passes effectively. Film seminar provides an opportunity to convey educational material in the form of an artistic image; to see the diversity of social and cultural explication of the ideas and val- ues of modernity. The Central concept of the article is built around the creation of new forms of presentation of the lecture material and practical training, which must be problematic and must have the search character to develop the students’ mental activity, to form their cultural competence. The aim of the article is to study and disclosure of the volume meaning and the functional versatility of the cinematic image in the context of the development of the content of the Humanities in higher education. Scientific novelty of the article is opened in the integrative nature of the study. Simultaneously the authors consider, classify, and formulate in the form of methodical recommen- dations: 1) the variety of interpretive practices in the process of understanding the film text; 2) the ability of the cinematic image to accumulate and transmit knowledge about culture, society and man; 3) specific procedures for mastering humanitarian knowledge in the context of global imaging culture.

Transformation of the model HOMO ECONOMICUS in the context of teaching the science of service in the universities

The article examines the transformation of the model «homo economicus», which underlies the modern science of service. This model is considered as a theoretical design that allows explaining the nature of human needs. The Foundation model was the concept of classical political economy, represented in the works of A. Smith and D. Ricardo. There are also the disadvantages of this model applied to the study of contemporary culture and the needs of modern man. The author focuses on the concept of personality in modern psychological science, which can be defined as a multi-potential person or a man-scanner. In this regard, the author resorts to the concept of a man-scanner in the works of famous American coach-trainer B. Sher. The author studies the prospects of us- ing this model in modern culture, and also with regard to the typology of needs according to Maslow. It’s shown the relationship of this model with the needs of modern man and his value orientations. On the basis of it there are selected methodological recommendations for teaching of science of service at the University. In particular, there are noticed problematic topics in the teaching of modern science of service, and also shown the methodi- cal part - conduct lectures with students on the topic «Practical aspects of service.» It includes the purpose and objectives of lectures, educational technology, and questions for discussion. As necessary components of learning the science of service the author identifies practical orientation, as well as the existential needs of man in differ- ent situations. In this regard, the attention is paid not so much to economic as to philosophical component of the discipline «science of service».

Urban sculpture and cultural code of Volgograd in the context of branding the territory

The sculpture and monuments of Volgograd are discussed in the article as cultural and symbolic objects expressing the local identity and the defining image of the city, and also as resources for branding areas. Field studies and analysis of publications in print and electronic media showed that in the period from 2006 to 2016. in Volgograd, it was installed about 50 different sculptural forms and art objects - sculptures, memorials, monuments, small architectural forms. The author carried out a content analysis of the sculptural text and made the classification of monuments installed over the last 10 years. There were identified dominant themes and motifs, proving the ir- reducibility of the identity of Volgograd to a common denominator with a predominance of heroic discourse of the Soviet past. Specific examples show that the development of object environment of Volgograd clarifies three main trends: the assertion of the identity of the city-hero, stream professional-corporate symbols, representation of the images of the pre-Soviet past, first of all, an appeal to the history and culture of Tsaritsyn. The empirical material of Volgograd highlights the key functions of modern urban sculptures and monuments: monumental, memorial, axiological, aesthetic, social, advertising, entertainment, cultural and educational. It’s stated that creation and promotion of a positive image of Volgograd as a modern city of cultural innovations is difficult in the absence of a developed strategy of cultural policy aimed at the use of intelligent, creative, real assets and the search for alterna- tive symbolic models.

Use of statistical tools to assess the quality of education

The article discusses the problems associated with the management of the quality of education, it is shown that quality management education is impossible without reliance on proven statistical tools. The authors analyze the characteristics of quality management education and show that an integral element of the management of this process is the correct setting goals, having the operational and prediction properties in the zone of potential devel- opment of the student. The authors identify and justify the need for the provision of a system of indicators that allow determining the degree of achievement of objectives in the educational system. They analyze the classification of indicators from the point of view of education quality assessment identified a normative and comparative nature of the assessment indicators, the role and place of statistics in the evaluation of the quality of the educational process. Based on the conducted research the authors propose the method of using this statistical tool, as Shewhart charts, and to assess the implementation of the educational process and/or results and decision on the need for corrective actions. The article gives the definition of Shewhart charts, and describes the purpose of this instrument, marked the boundaries of its application, the analysis of varieties of charts, with the main features and the estimated values, the technique of their construction. Particular value is an example of using Shewhart charts to assess the quality of student performance, which demonstrates the role of this statistical tool in deciding the stability of the educational process or the need for corrective actions, i.e. external intervention in the process. The article may be interesting for practitioners in the course of training courses on the subject and in the process of improving quality management systems in educational institutions.








Автор обосновывает необходимость отказа от традиционного представления об учителе-предмет- нике, который отлично владеет широкими знаниями в своей области и делает акцент на ориентации высшего учебного заведения на формирование понимающего педагога, способного к саморазвитию, по- иску своих смыслов в профессии и выстраиванию своей модели деятельности и общения. В связи с этим автор дает новое определение педагогического общения как процесса профессионально-личностного изменения будущего учителя через реализацию в практике механизмов творческого взаимодействия. Автор определяет сущность и специфику процесса становления педагогического общения будущего учителя как самостоятельного, педагогического, целенаправленного, инвариантного, интегрирован- ного, внутренне и социально детерминируемого, имеющего свои временные и пространственные из- мерения. В статье разработана и обоснована педагогическая концепция становления педагогического общения будущего учителя, включающая в себя совокупность критериев, факторов, условий, пред- посылок и показателей исследуемого процесса. На основе исследуемой литературы автор определил закономерные связи и принципы данного процесса и сделал обобщающие выводы, приводит практиче- ские результаты исследования. Обзор методологической литературы позволил раскрыть суть таких понятий, как творческое взаимодействие, свобода выбора, активная позиция, диалоговое общение, рефлексия, открытость, которые способствуют созданию благоприятных условий для выстраива- ния своей модели педагогического общения, проявления внутренних механизмов саморазвития, вы- страивания своей программы изменений. Исследование выполнено на базе факультета иностранных языков Камчатского государственного педагогического института. Целевой аудиторией выступают аспиранты, исследователи, преподаватели высших учебных заведений, учителя средних общеобразова- тельных школ, студенты языковых и неязыковых факультетов.
