Paper is devoted to the analysis of impact of foreign trade and antitrust policies on development of competition and the position of domestic buyers of Russian metal products. It presents a stylized description of the development of the Russian metallurgy over 25-year period, considering the peculiarities of industry, which influence the problems of competition policy; paper describes the application of competition and foreign trade policies in the industry, taking into account relationships with industry structure. It illustrates the problem of trade-off between an increased competitiveness in world market and consumers protection within the country in relation to industries with the dominance of large exporters. The analysis revealed contradictions in pursued policy: approval of mergers that might restrict competition in the markets of metal products in Russia, and relatively high level of import protection are not consistent with regular investigations of violation of antitrust legislation by Russian metal producers, based on harm imposed to domestic consumers.

The conference at the Economic Faculty was dedicated this year’s 75th anniversary of the Economic Faculty. The conference allowed to discuss the key areas of economic science and development of University scientific schools.

The paper deals with the method of teamwork projects in the courses of Microeconomics-3 and Macroeconomics-3 for graduate students at the Economic Faculty of Lomonosov Moscow State University. The purpose of this kind of work is to deepen the theoretical knowledge of students on relevant topics of modern micro- and macroeconomics based on acquaintance with the publications in their original language. The authors consider the organization, the procedure and the role of teamwork projects in training of graduate students and their familiarization with scientific research.
Tourism is becoming one of the perspective/ priority guideline of development of the cross-border regions of Russia. The aim of the study is to determine the general trends and features of tourism infrastructure development as one of the major structural components of a tourist destination, a key factor in the development of regional tourism. The study used the analysis of the conceptual and terminological system, comparison method, analog approach, the method of analysis of time series. Influence of cross-border location on the development of tourism infrastructure is proved on analyzing of indexes of 37 cross-border regions. The condition and level of tourism infrastructure development depend of the nature of cooperation between Russia and neighboring countries in historical aspect. The received practical results allow us to present a comprehensive picture of the state of tourist infrastructure. Besides, they can be used in the study of development of tourist infrastructure and tourist business at the regional level. The practical application of the proposed approach gives an opportunity to expand possible options for management decisions, acting as a tool of regional economic policy in the sphere of tourism.
Innovative modernization of the economy is a multifactorial process. One of these factors, which attracts the attention of the high political and business circles, could be described as the green factor of innovative modernization. This factor means a combination of environmental and climate challenges for long-term economic growth and development of society as a whole, the strategy of response that provides search and develop innovative technological and management solutions that maintain a sustainable level and quality of life, including the reduction of risks to the quality of the human living environment.
The reasons for reduction of industrial sphere in European countries and in the USA during last decades considerably differ from those in Russia during post-soviet period. The main reasons of Russian deindustrialization lie in the export-raw orientation of economic development. Further existence in such an economic development model leads to the conservation of economic depression and poses threat to national security. The paper depicts one of the two alternative approaches to the change of Russian economic development strategy, based on reindustrialization within structural transformation and diversification of economy. Such complicated structural transformation may be possible in case of competent industrial policy implementation. Basing on western and Russian expert estimates, we study the reasons and possibilities of western and Russian reindustrialization and prove the new high-technological innovative industrialization - as a necessary condition for sustainable economic growth.

The article deals with oncoming Neoindustrialization (New Industrial Revolution) influence on logistics’ nature. The author analyzes the impact of the Internet of Things and additive technologies for economic development. Special attention is paid to the basic tendencies of transformation of logistics in terms neoindustrialization. Basic ways for logistic transformation under the Industrie 4.0 are considered on the base of modern changes in the supply chains management. Conclusions of this research can be used as recommendations for to design of logistics strategy of the company and process descriptions.
