REGULARITY IN CHANGES OF THE POPULATION NUMBERS OF RHOMBOMUS OPIMUS IN THE SOUTH KAZAKHSTAN DESERTS

Rapoport L.P., Sagimbekov U.A., Erdakov L.N., Chernyshova O.N., Peisakhis A.L., Rzhevsky V.F.

To analyze the population of Rhombomus opimus the ratio of populated colonies to their total number on the fixed 5 km routes was calculated. The annual estimates of the habitableness of colonies formed the time series which were subjected to spectral decomposition to harmonics. A characteristic regularity is established in changes of the habitableness of the colonies in the populations isolated according to the ecological parameters. The harmonics are found which permit forecasting the population levels several years in advance. The coincidence of the prediction for 1987 with the experimental data shows the high accuracy of the prediction.
