Two new genera of the family Stigmaeidae (Acariformes)

Parastigmaeus gen. n. is characterized by the presence of two pairs of setae on the medial propodosomal scale, one seta on coxa II, trident of pedipalp tarsus, as well as by the absence of intercoxal scales. Type species: Pseudostigmaeus capensis (Meyer, 1969). Prostigmaeus gen. n. is unique in the presence of a crown of four eupatids on the apex of pedipalp tarsus. Type species: P. tauricus sp. n.
